Amalie Dahl’s Breaking/Building Habits explores the relationship between composition and improvisation, both within the compositional space and in live performance. The project’s musical foundation consists of composed cells or building blocks that serve as the starting point for the band’s expression. However, these cells are not merely fixed structures but rather seeds with the potential to grow wildly and unfold in unexpected directions. Joining her on stage are Viktoria Holde Søndergaard (vibraphone), Viktor Bomstad (guitar), and Tore Ljøkelsøy (drums).
